It is finally here.....the day that I first visit Las Vegas. I am really really excited about going! Actually I am pretty much really excited for any vacation, but I think that this should be a guaranteed good time. Joel swears by this city....and now that he visited New Orleans with us (one of my favorite vaction spots) its my turn to "do Vegas" so....tonight, I'm off, off to the land of lots of food, slots, and what not! Pictures from the trip to follow I am SURE of it!

Kristen needs.....

So, I am borrowing this idea from Catherine
Fifteen Things Kristen Needs:
(this list was created by Googling the term "Kristen needs")

1. Kristen needs gra-ti-fi-cation!
2. Kristen needs book money for class but has no skills besides....(well, I'd rather not say what this Kristen's one skill is!)
3. Kristen needs the stability of a marriage to a man like Donnie.
4. Kristen needs an angle for her story.
5. Kristen needs someone to be at the clam bake while she is in class.
6. Kristen needs friends right now and 'cease and desist' orders run contrary to our community of Kristen Friends
7. Kristen needs help to exit her wheelchair and weighs too much for her aunt...(see, this is why I started working out! It had really gotten that bad :))
8. Kristen needs to learn to pay more attention in class.
9. Kristen needs to find more things to do that make herself happy.
10. Kristen needs a little break. I'm gonna get her some wine and she'll be able to talk in a bit. (Alright!!)
11. Kristen needs a bra. (this is true, I do...and am going to try to go today :)
12. Kristen needs to take the costumes back (see Joel, maybe I shouldn't get a costume for Halloween in Vegas!)
13. Kristen needs to shut her yap about your taste in a car.
14. Kristen needs a healthy red blooded boy, not a drama queen like Stephen. (haha, Laguna Beach maybe)
15. Kristen needs to wash her socks because she will need them on Sunday morning

I have to say that MANY of the "Kristen needs" references were about Kristen on dear ol' Laguna's one of my favorites from that: "Kristen needs to choose who she wants, because she changes who she wants like every five minutes. If you dont want to be with Stephen, tell him..." Yep...I agree, that girl has let this show go to her head. Ok, I'm out of the closet as a LB fan now though :)

haha, good one Catherine, that was funny to search. I must say, I did find a "Kristen needs to die..." I decided I didn't want that to be on my top 15 list!!

Bachelorette Weekend of FUN

This weekend was the much anticipated Bachelorette weekend for Miss Britteny...and yes, I did say WEEKEND, not just night. I was a little crazy the week leading up to everything, trying to plan enough stuff to entertain the 7 girls that were there for the long haul. I think that in the end it turned out really well. Definitely thanks in part to Emily, she was a life-saver for me in planning everything!! Also, we had one, Miss Ashley, who is about two weeks shy of 21, so options of places to go were obviously limited. Friday night we had dinner, margaritas and a lingerie shower at La Fogata....yummy!! Then we all headed back to the cute little house that Britteny and Chris are renting to spend the night. Saturday morning was the best part (in my opinion)...massages at Massage Heights. WOW, that was probably the best massage that I have ever had! Then we ate some lunch, went home, cleaned up and headed to Boerne for some shopping. I think that everyone ended up with some really cute stuff. Clothes, shoes, JEWELRY!, and even some adorable home decorations for Britteny that Ashley bought. Then an emergency trip to HEB to print out pictures from the night before (Emily had the idea to make Britteny a scrapbook...everyone brought pictures, it turned out to be really awesome!) Then we headed home so that 7 girls could shower and get ready...2 hours later we headed to the Riverwalk for some dinner. Of course, we made the obligatory stop at the Alamo and then convinced the door guy at Pat O's to let Ashley come in. Actually, there wasn't a whole lot of convincing necessary... All in all it was a great weekend, more of a "girls weekend" than a typical bachelorette party...which is exactly what Britteny wanted, SO it was perfect :) I just hope that I have some significant recovery time before the next time that I have to plan one of these weekends!!
