sewing is fun...and I sound like a dork!

I don't have a whole lot to say, but I just finished a pile of I am wasting time by updating this site, even though I am pretty sure that no one really reads it anymore due to my lack of updates. So, my life has been busy. I finally did what I was supposed to do and got an internship for school. I now work 8 hours on Saturdays at a cute little fabric store and I make a whopping $0! Actually, instead of making money, I spend money. Going to school for interior design has been slightly dangerous for my wallet. I used to think that we had the most adorable apartment in the world. Now I go home and realize that there are way too many different styles going on and want to change it all so that it is perfect. (considering that it is three people's stuff, and it is just an apartment--it is really freaking cute--everyone that comes over really likes it).

While I was on the search for the perfect fabric for new pillows, well, I got sidetracked. I found some adorable fabric...and decided to test out my rusty sewing skills and make some fun summer tote bags. It turned out rather cute, and quite large...the perfect size for some beach towels and what not. So...I LOVE it, and have made two and have plans to make several more already.'s what my new bag looks like....even if it is a crappy camera phone picture, I'll share it with you!

Truthfully, I have more exciting things going on in my life. Last night I went to a great Spurs game with Jason. We had a great time. It was a lot of fun to cheer them on. I unfortunately have not seen as many games this year as I would like to, but the playoffs are around the corner and you can be sure that I won't be missing those games! We have a wedding for a friend this weekend and I'm sure that it will be a blast...lots of friends, and they are always entertaining. Well, its back to work for me.

new post

Today I received a voicemail, which simply said, update your blog, I am bored at work....well....I hate to disappoint, so here you go. I have been cheating on my blog, with my myspace account: check it out. My space is fun, and easy for that matter. You have lots of friends, they say nice things to you. It requires the attention span of say a text message, while writing a blog requires the attention span equal to writing an email. In case you've never emailed me, well, I don't respond very quickly if I respond at all. I am not sure why this is, cause I love hearing from people that I don't usually hear from. I think that perhaps it is the aforementioned short attention span.

So....I have a lot going on. Big projects at school, helping to remodel Joel's bathroom --and somehow ending up painting the kitchen too, helping Jason move and decorate, school, work....needing to find an internship for school - which I keep putting off b/c I am unwilling to give up my Saturdays..of course, I'm going to have to anyways. That doesn't sound like a lot, but I feel overwhelmed, so trust me, it is a lot. uh...I am tired...and I just drank some caffeine. I need to finalize my picks from my sisters wedding photos, so for now, I am out! Maybe I'll be back to you soon, hopefully :)

Happy Valentine's to you.......

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! All that you really need to know about today is this: Grey's Anatomy Season One comes out on DVD today. Go buy it, fall in love with it, and hope like hell that McDreamy tells Meredith that he loves her and doesn't know what to do without her, maybe on next week's episode.

the v-day gift's that time of year, time to be stumped with the valentine gift. I think that I probably have one of the most difficult boyfriends to buy for. Seems like he doesn't ever have anything on his "want list" cause he always buys stuff when he wants it. I have one or two awesome ideas, but they are just too expensive. Then I have some creative ideas, but they seem on the verge of cheesy. Maybe I'll just buy him Season one of Grey's Anatomy, since that comes out on V-day....then when he doesn't want it, he can give it to me and I'll be very happy cause I really really want it :) darn...less than a week away...I should really start think hard so that I have a super stellar gift to give!

My life update: Parker had surgery and all his shots on Monday....he's fine, I know that you were worried. We can also rest assured now that he does NOT have feline lukemia or AIDS. And Jason's little Miss Eva can rest assured that she will not have a teen pregnancy :) I think that he'd be embarassed if he knew I was talking about, I think that I just need to get some sleep.

In real life news...I stayed home from work sick yesterday. Feeling fine now, hope it doesn't come back again. Planning on going to good Ol College Station this weekend with the roomies....should be a fun time!
